A very warm welcome

Welcome to the parish website for Emmanuel with St George's in South Chadderton. Whether you've just moved to the Oldham area or are just wanting to find out more about what it means to follow in the footsteps of Christ, you are sure of a warm welcome.
Our weekly meetings reflect the sort of people that you are likely to meet in our congregation, from bible study groups, to tea dances, from uniformed organisations to daily prayer meetings and much in between. There is much going on, and as much if not more still to do. So if you are in the area and want to see what we are like and more importantly, if you are looking for a spiritual home, then we would love to meet you and welcome you. We are not the finished article, but maybe you will be an important part of getting us one step closer.
We have a number of weekly meetings which focus on our call to be followers of Jesus and be growing into maturity as Christians. There are bible study groups, prayer groups, and fellowship groups meeting each week which serve the variety of different spiritual appetites that our congregation have. I am sure that you would find a group to meet whatever need you felt you had. Come along and meet with us to find out more.

As well as our normal church activities, we also have a very busy diary in the week. Brownies, Rainbows, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all meet weekly at St George's (see St George's What's on for dates) and if you are interested in your children attending any of these groups then please contact the relevant leaders, (details can be found in the Who we are section of this web site). We also have tea dances that run weekly on Mondays and Fridays and fortnightly on Saturdays, (second and fourth saturdays in the month), again contact details can be found on Who we are. If you are feeling that you can pinch more than an inch and would like to get in shape then there is a Rosemary Conley Class twice a week, contact details can be found in the parish diary section, just click on the event and the details will be shown.
Please use the menu to find out what we can offer you. If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to get in touch. Tel 0161 681 1310
